Environmental Policy

McCallum Made Pty Ltd is a family-owned group that includes several businesses. All our businesses are committed to providing quality services in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimises our potential impact on the environment. We strive to operate in a manner that complies with all relevant environmental laws, use pollution prevention, adopt greener alternatives where possible and incorporate environmental best practices in all we do.

Our policy is therefore to:

• Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into our decision making and activities to adopt greener alternatives where possible.
• Eliminate the use of single-use plastic or polystyrene in our packaging by substituting those products with recycled cardboard and paper where possible.
• Recycle everything used in our factory. This includes, but is not limited to, all paper, cardboard, plastic and steel – even bent screws are recycled.
• Seek a way to use biodegradable or recyclable inputs at every point in the production and distribution process.
• Seek to minimise and reduce our waste where possible by reusing and recycling as much of it as possible.
• Strive to minimise energy and water use within our facilities in order to conserve and minimise the consumption of natural resources.
• As far as possible, purchase products and services from other companies that try to do the least damage to the environment.
• Educate and inform our employees about environmental issues that impact their work.
• Train our employees to promote environmental awareness and encourage them to work in a responsible manner that will benefit the environment.
• Communicate and encourage our suppliers, customers and the public to support our commitment to greener environmental practices.
